Four steps to opening to the feminine for your nourishment.
This post is the sequel to a guest post I did on Molly Gordon’s Authentic Marketing blog. The first post had all the here’s-what’s-going-on and this post is the how-to-tap-in. If you haven’t read the first post, do so first, then pop back here for these four steps. Enjoy!
- Open up to your hunger. We yearn to receive reassurance, nourishment, and unconditional love. Allow yourself to feel the hunger. Know that it won’t swallow you whole.
- Endorse your need. Stop fighting it. You don’t try to be brave about oxygen. You’ve settled into that need, you’re not fighting it, not trying to be casual like you could take it or leave it. Give your need for Receiving the same level of endorsement.
- Start looking for the nourishment. Start noticing where it is, all over the place. When you combine the ubiquity with your constant need, it’ll be like oxygen for you. And just like oxygen does, you’ll let it revitalize your every cell. Notice that people will give to you, are wanting to love you and help you and remove obstacles for you.
- Tap into your power of Receiving inside. Here’s a quick exercise to help you open up to the power of Receiving to hold you:
Place your hands over your heart. Feel the yearning or the hurt or the longing. Notice where it is in your body. Now feel a Source wrapping around you: it could be Divine Mother, the Universe, or your own strength. However you want to think of it, feel yourself being held. Breathe deeply. Relax into that unconditional support that’s always there. Gently rock back and forth a little. Whimper, if that helps. Just surrender into it, with the intent of being held and nourished. After a time (you’ll know when!) check back in with the sensation in your body. How has it shifted? Keep attending to it. Keep telling Divine Mother where it hurts, and let that energy be balm for your pain or your hunger.
